INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
The Department of Polymers and Functional Materials, CSIR–Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad, is pleased to announce the International Conference on Innovative Functional Materials for Energy and Environmental Technologies (i-MEET 2026), to be held during 4–6 November 2026 at the CSIR-IICT campus, Hyderabad, India. The conference is being organized as one of the major outreach activities under the Institutions's ongoing international collaborative research programmes. One of the key objectives of these programmes is to disseminate scientific knowledge, foster global collaborations, and provide a common platform for researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students to exchange ideas and explore emerging research opportunities in advanced functional materials. Over the course of three days, i-MEET 2026 will bring together eminent scientists, academicians, industry leaders, and young researchers from across the globe to present and discuss the latest advances and emerging trends in advanced functional materials for energy, environmental, strategic, and sustainable technologies. The conference will feature plenary lectures, keynote and invited talks, oral and poster presentations, industry interactions, and dedicated networking sessions, providing an excellent platform for scientific exchange, interdisciplinary collaborations, international partnerships, and the development of future collaborative research initiatives.
The scientific programme will comprise plenary lectures, keynote lectures, invited talks, and selected oral presentations by eminent experts from academia, research institutions, and industry. In addition, the conference will feature flash presentations by young researchers, including postdoctoral fellows and Ph.D. scholars in the final stages of their research, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their latest scientific contributions. Dedicated poster sessions will also be organized to facilitate scientific discussions and encourage interactions among participants working in the conference thematic areas.

The Department of Polymers and Functional Materials (PFM) at CSIR–IICT is a multidisciplinary research hub dedicated to the design, synthesis, processing, and application of next-generation functional materials for energy, environmental, healthcare, strategic, and industrial technologies. The department is actively engaged in frontier research encompassing magnetic and permanent magnet materials, magnetocaloric materials, functional oxides and ceramics, nanostructured and multifunctional materials, polymers and polymer composites, thermoelectric and optoelectronic materials, energy conversion and storage materials, hydrogen technologies, advanced coatings, and critical materials. Equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities and supported by internationally recognized scientists, the department has established strong collaborations with leading universities, national laboratories, and industries across the globe. Through its fundamental and translational research programmes, the department is committed to developing sustainable, high-performance materials that address emerging technological challenges while contributing to scientific innovation and societal development.
