Workshop on

Innovative and Sustainable Business Strategies for Science and Technology

ISBS- 2025

CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad

Jan. 27th, 2025

Background

Research and Development is critical to fostering innovation, advancing scientific knowledge, and addressing societal challenges. Applied Research and Development (R&D) serves as the critical bridge between fundamental research and real-world technological applications. In an increasingly competitive global landscape, effective harnessing of applied R&D can lead to the development of breakthrough technologies, strengthen innovation ecosystems, and drive economic growth. While significant investments are made in R&D, the challenge lies in translating these efforts into scalable and market-ready technologies. Innovation enablers must adopt robust business strategies to align R&D activities with needs, foster commercialization, and create measurable societal and economic impacts. To address these challenges, the workshop aims to equip researchers with strategic tools and frameworks to strengthen commercialization, enhance linkages, and achieve long-term financial and operational sustainability.
